Anyone is welcome to use the public access computers in the library. We have nine computers with FREE Internet access, word processing software, access to a printer, and more. Please see our Computer Usage policy for more information.
We also have wi-fi! Use your own computer or mobile device – no passwords are needed. Your computer must have wireless capability. Surf the ‘net and e-mail from any spot in the library.
Our collection is searchable on-site at the Utica Public Library and is in the process of being available to be searched via computer. For assistance with the card catalog or with finding materials, please ask a librarian.
If the Library does not own an item, we can attempt to borrow it from another library and have it delivered to the Utica Public Library. Some transactions will involve a fee, which is charged back to you. We will notify you before placing a request if there is a fee. A staff member will be happy to help you.
You may visit and use other participating Illinois public libraries and check out materials using your up-to-date Utica Public Library District card. Return the materials to us, and we’ll send them back to the lending library.

If you are ill or disabled, sign up for homebound delivery. The library delivers to district residents and acts as a liaison for the Library of Congress Talking Books Program. For more information or to volunteer with homebound delivery, contact the library at (815) 667-4509.
Need to make a copy? Stop in! A copier is available to make black and white and color copies for 15¢ per page.
If your printer is on the fritz or you need to print, visit the library! Printouts cost 25¢ per page.
We’ll send your fax from the Circulation Desk for $2 per page, and you’ll receive a confirmation.
The electric typewriter is available for public use. You will need to bring your own paper.
The Library has a reader/printer to view and print from a collection of microform resources. Print-outs cost 25¢ per page.
